Role Description
The Sponsorship & Outreach Team is the engine behind Bath Finance Society’s funding and event lineup. As a Sponsorship Lead, you’ll help build the partnerships that support BFS throughout the year, working with companies across finance and related industries. You’ll gain hands-on experience in business development, professional communication, negotiation, and relationship management: skills that translate directly into careers in finance, consulting, sales, and beyond.
This is a real, outcomes-driven role. The partnerships you help secure directly contribute to the events, opportunities and experiences we can offer our members.
Sponsorship Lead
As a Sponsorship Lead, you will help identify and secure organisations interested in partnering with BFS. Working within the Sponsorship & Outreach Team, you’ll be involved in:
Responsibilities
- Researching and identifying potential sponsors across finance and related industries
- Building and maintaining relationships with companies, recruiters, alumni and industry contacts
- Developing and sending personalised sponsorship outreach
- Communicating with external organisations professionally and confidently
- Supporting sponsorship discussions and negotiating mutually beneficial partnerships
- Working with the wider committee to create and deliver value for our sponsors
- Tracking outreach, follow-ups and partnership progress throughout the year
- Ensuring sponsors receive strong visibility and engagement across relevant BFS activities
Who We’re Looking For
A great role for someone confident, proactive and commercially minded who enjoys speaking to people and building relationships. You should be comfortable taking initiative, following up consistently and representing BFS professionally when communicating with external organisations. No previous sponsorship or committee experience is required, but strong communication, organisation and persistence are essential.
Must be a full-time Bath student in the 2026/2027 academic year.
